The Mission of our Church

Tyrone Presbyterian Church seeks to live out the word of God through the actions of Love for all people. In doing so our Ruling Elders are continuously seeking opportunities to help people just as our teacher, Jesus Christ, helped people.

Tyrone Presbyterian Church’s Blessings Box

Behind our Church Building, next to our Pavillion, we have a 24/7 Food Pantry that is open to those in need. The members of our Congregation, the support of individuals in our local community, and our Boy Scout Troop ensure that this food pantry is full weekly throughout the year.

Tyrone Presbyterian Church Graveyard Restoration

Through the funds raised from our Dime Toss at the Dawson Grange Fair in 2021 we were able to purchase D2 Biological Solution which is a headstone cleaner that is used by the Federal Government at Arlington National Cemetery. Through the efforts of members of our Congregation and our Boy Scout Troop the effort of restoring our cemetery is underway.

The oldest known stone in our graveyard is A.S. who was buried in 1789.

Dawson Grange Fair

Annually, for the past few years, we have had a presence at the Dawson Grange Fair. Through the members of our Congregation who have volunteered to run our booth we have been able to share God’s word with members of the local community who we have had the opportunity to interact with. This ministry is one we seek to continue and grow for years to come.

Trunk-Or-Treat/Fall Festival

A new favorite outreach program that has really grown in popularity for the Church in recent years is our Trunk-Or-Treat/Fall Festival held annually in October.
